Khatas are scarves in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Khatas are offered to religious images, such as statues of the Buddha, religious thangkas and to lamas.
It is also draped around the neck as an honor to someone on special occasions such as new born babies, wedding couples, new house inaugurals, etc.
Our traditional khatas have a subtle pattern of the Tibetan eight Auspicious symbols.
This Khata 02 has the eight auspicious symbols printed on it. It also has the Good Luck (Tashi Delek Phunsum Tsok) written in Tibetan.
